Why We Created Little Big Talks
Written by a small human with a big heart (and a little help from mum)
It all started at the dinner table. Most nights.
One night, between the vegetable avoidance and the “how was your day” questions, something felt... a bit blah. So we bought some conversation starter cards and it went a little like this:
🧠 “Would you rather have arms made of noodles or legs made of jelly?”
💭 “What’s one thing you wish grown-ups understood better?”
💛 “What makes you feel loved?”
That night? Everyone stayed at the table a little longer. The TV stayed off. We laughed. We listened. And we learned things about each other we’d never talked about before. Every single one of us.
That was the spark.
Created by a small human, for big conversations
Hi! I’m 8. I love talking (like... a lot), asking questions, being creative, and helping people feel less alone. So with some help, I turned my scribbles into a real card deck, something other families could use to connect, laugh, and really talk. Mum taught me how to use Canva and I started creating. I would think of questions often on car rides and I would write them down.
We called them Little Big Talks because they’re small cards that can lead to big feelings, big giggles, and big connections.
They’re for:
-
Dinner tables
-
Long car rides
-
Sleepovers
-
Classrooms
-
Or just when someone needs a little spark of connection
🧠 Why this matters to us
In a world full of screens and busy-ness, it can be hard to slow down and really listen to each other. These cards are our way of pressing pause. Of making space for curiosity, compassion, and those “I never knew that about you!” moments.
We believe in:
-
Peaceful homes
-
Happy hearts
-
And helping little voices feel heard
💛 So from our family to yours…
Thanks for supporting this little idea with a big dream behind it. Whether you’re a parent, a teacher, a fun aunty, or a friend, we hope these cards spark something special for you too.
Let the little big talks begin.
With love,
The Little Big Talks Team (and our small CEO)
